On July 21, 2008, The RoundTable hosted an exciting networking event giving young professionals an insider's view into a career in government affairs.

The RoundTable 2008 Convention Highlights
On Super Tuesday, February 5, 2008, The RoundTable hosted its first political convention. Delegates debated the candidates and discussed ways to invovle more young people in politics.

Networking Event A Huge Success

During The RoundTable's Securing A Career In Government Affairs strategy session, leading Black government affairs professionals gave participants an insider's view into a career on K street.

This sold out networking event was one of The RoundTable's most successful. Participants were given an overview of the pros and cons of a lobbying career and received valuable career advice in small group settings. Check out the event photos.

Black Discusses "Dual Citizenship"

U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black spoke of the dual citizenship Americans have to God and to country during The RoundTable's engaging discussion on Politics & The Pulpit.

Participants at the event also discussed the role of the church in campaigns, controversial political statements by some pastors, and ways the church could be more engaged in the community.
